VINIFICATION AND AGING
The very best grapes from the harvest are destined to form this important wine, and during maceration they yield the polyphenols and noble tannins which give the wine consistency and balance. The grapes stalks are removed and undergo soft pressing before vinified using the traditional method on the skins. Aged 18 months in tonneaux and 3 months in bottle
Intense, dark ruby colour. Potent,luscious and velvety, with notes of black berry and raspberry fruit. It shows prefect ripeness and balance. Savoury, spicy finish in oak frame.
Grilled or roasted meats.
“Black rooster” is the historic symbol of Chianti from 1716.
